Whats the Gobi rifle? How is it different from normal? Wheres snipers point?

Chose the explorer perk. Comes in handy actually (unlocks all the worlds locations)

my F3 save corrupted too ages ago, every single one was affected, so doesnt matter how many back ups you have, if it corrupts, it corrupts, all of them
i absolutely love fallout 3 and new vegas, but id love to get the developers in a room together and slap them round the face repeatedly.
these could be some of the greatest games in the past 10 years, but they will only be remebered for being bug-ridden.

Do you only get 1000 saves in Hardcore Mode, then? I'll probably never use that many, but it will certainly make me think before hitting that Quick Save key!

I've buggered off from the Fort as the Legion were f**king me and Boone up the arse. Found the BOS and started their quests and going to find the holotapes. There is so much to do in this, I don't remember having so many open missions in F3. I can play for an hour and I've only discovered 1 new place and looted/sold the lot.
How do I get the Anti Material gun and Tesla cannon? Found the Gauss rifle on a couple of dead BOS but need some more decent weapons. I only have normal weapons mainly. Need to head up and get the Alien Blaster.

My method for that was, run outside and just do laps of the camp ground waiting for my AP to regain and when it does just taking one head shot with the anti material rifle which is enough to kill one person at a time. epic plan.

Im stuck at the Yes Man final (I think) mission, where you have to kill the Legion Legate. I start attacking, and almost finish him off, then about 15 of his guards just completely own me!

Getting back to where I was originally, well with the exception that I killed Benny rather than him being completely inaccessible at the Fort. Really gotta start exporing again though and start up all the side quests I had going/done before. Just got the Boomers on side and raised the B29, that and amassing a small fortune in cap, though I was disappointed in the NCR Ambassador, thought he had tonnes of caps from what people had said, first hand even after I raised him all my caps (about 90k) the most he'd put down was 1.5k in one hand alone against the Dino guy I won 8k worth of cap (though admittitedly I had bought his entire stock before hand).
Not really rating the AM Rifle, preferring the unique Gauss Rifle at the moment

Update from me, i'm now rolling with veronica, and after raiding the BoS crib, I have 2 sets of CND 100% power armour
As Veronica is a brother, she can wear the armour - I gave her the power armour and now she's rocking around in it. Her power fist is pretty awesome as well. When I get bored I will send her to lucky 38 and pick up boonage.
I'm now trying to initiate the quest "for auld langsine (sp?)" so I can learn how to wear the power armour.
I've also just discovered that you can use other bullets in yoru gun llol I want to make more armour piercing rounds but don't know how to

You have to have selected send power to archemedies during the helios one side quest to use it. You can only use it once a day too iirc
ROFL thats exactly what I did... After a few tries at doing it normally granted.
Took some med-X and psycho too of corse.
LOVE the orbital laser!

Yes, you need to play your cards right in the auld lang syne quest - You then get trained to use it

I've got roughly 40 hours left in this now, I reckon. And I'm on 36 hours on this save file.
