I picked up the guide and it frightened meI only use it for reference now and then, that and now to work out what side quests I haven't done yet

got the "collectors" version, nice to have, certainly better than using the web-guides as it actually has what I want to know, but I can't use it like the FO3 guide, there's just soooo many quests!

Went back to black mountain with my AM and tore the muties a new one, after i did tho one came up to me and said thanks, i was like "wtf" anyway i went back because im doing some BoS quests ive mullered yes man, also killed two pricks in westside, and ive got some marked caravan cards now so i can cheat ha ha ha cappoholic

LOL. True. The Energy Weapons in F:NV are seriously duped. They just don't work as well as F3.
Although, give Boone the Gauss Rifle and you're onto a winner. He's currently rocking with the AM Rifle on mine. I've got the Gobi Sniper. Might swap with him.

ahh, i aint really maxed out either of mine
like i aint gone all out energy or guns
i think atm ive got 40 guns/40 energy weapons/40 unarmed/40 melee stuff
so im good with all weapons so i can pick and switch
currently building up my repair points as i want the perk that allows you to upgrade the great guns using other guns

boone has 0 in energy weapons, so gauss would be a bad idea on him, AM on the other hand.
im gonna drop lily later and pick up Arcade Gammon n put a gauss on him.
im upto the dam quest and i bet ive discovered less than 30% of locations. so i got a good while just roaming around now discoverin s**t
might even drop ED-E for Rex as i dunno about anyone else. but his ultra far sight is so annoying. like ill see red dots pop up and try to go in VATS and theyre f**king MILES away lol

Gobi Scout Rifle is my personal favourite, the unique Gauss Rifle is definitely worth going after as ts so easy to get and does some impressive damage all be it at a high ammo cost. Huntng Rifles & Shotguns are pretty impressive too. everyone rate the Anti Material Rifle so I've loaded Boone up with one.

Had a massive fail over the weekend.
Tried to close off the White glove society side quest. Had the food made, the wine spiked and the lad released.
So, I go to the members' section and without any provocation the entire room goes hostile, since I didn't have enough sneak, I couldn't bring my Mysterious Magnum in to do the business.
Long story short, ED-E and Veronica both bought the farm and now there's no-one alive in the casino. Wouldn't have minded if I'd raped tehm for all their worth at the casino first, so far I've only maxed out The Tops.
Would have gone to an old save, but ED-E decided to die just as I left one room so there was no going back. Just picked up Lily though and will trip over the kings and get Dogm......Rex.

Thought I'd have a crack at finishing it last night just to see what the ending was like with me being sided with Mr House.
Might try other endings now just to see them through, plus hunt down the last few Unique weapons and odd side quests
Basically ended up just killing everyone. Legion's real leader (not Caesar) was a complete beast !!! Hit him with at least 4 Mini Nukes of the 6 I had, few .308 AP rounds from the Gobi, and then just unloaded the Light Machine gun with AP rounds till he went down. NCR General then showed up and as my speech wasn't high enough (needed 100) ended up having to take him and his Rangers out.

Was a damn good ending. I've started it again as well and am thinking of taking out the NCR to see what happens

I just wanted to get my first playthrough done as I got bored of my character. My 100% FO3 playthrough was a 90-hour job, including all DLC's
Now going to start a dim-as-a-0w-bulb chara that loves the Legion and has max strength and luck

I found the brewer's cave thing last night so got my Gauss rifle finally. I'm trying to do the side quests as I don't want to finish it as I got Yes Man to ignore everyone apart from Legion. Seems to have pissed off NCR as they are being gay about me siding with other factions.
Just got the final vault to do for the BOS. Raised the plane for the Boomers etc. Only done 25 hours in all so need to do tons more before I end the final quest.

Secondly, i think i've fucked up. I tried getting power armour training, but now every time i talk to the head scribe he says I have to wait as someoen is plotting against him (other other brotherhood man). Any other way to get the training?

I'm no doubt massively behind most on here with this. I've just got to the Rocket Factory and am in the basement with Boone. I've got to clear the Nightkin from down there. Whats the best option to take? Find the ghouls girl they've got captive, or kill the ghoul?
I went upstairs and the ghoul shot at me, so Boone smoked him. I found the shipping log that said all the StealthBoys had been sent back, so I see no advantage in killing the ghoul.

I love the sense of scale of the map, it's HUGE. What annoyed me with F3 was all the bitty bits of DC that you could only get to through the metro. In FNV you can just walk. I want to do a walk from the top to the bottom of the map and time it just to see how big it is.
I'm only 25 hrs and level 18, still so much to do. I won't finish it for months.

Only two critasisms of this game
1) Bit too buggy, but not annoyingly so (apart from when it crashes)
2) I wish you didn't have to have specific skills to open certain perks - I'd have liked to have chosen all of them
Other than that - Game of the year IMO

Only bug that annoys me is ED-E wants to kill me when I go to Primm to get him back :dapprove:
