Fan Belt Tensioner

Jus took my car to the garage to see if they knew what the constant squeeking was on my car. They told me its the fan belt tensioner and as its a 1998 model it can only be brought in from a renault main dealer.

Im waiting for the garage to get back to me but does anyone have an idea on how much renault will charge for this part?

There no fan belt tensioner so they'll have fun trying to find one.
There two belts the AUX belt/s and the cambelt both have usless tensioners sound like your cambelt one is most likly to have gone is so the part is cheasp but tio replace it the cambelt needs to be loosend so for the sost get the whole cambelt done its not going to be that bad price wise say £150~200 but juist chnaging the tensioner isn't a good idea.
