Fanatec wheel - as seen in Performance Car mag

The GT3 RS wheels with Clubsport pedals have arrived. I'll be back once I've wiped the jizz up!!

The pedals are amazing, they're stupidly heavy and the spring strength of each one can be adjusted seperately. The brake pedal also has Force Feedback!! The wheel is just pure sex in the hands.

I'll get a proper test done later when I've got time. I think I may to move my G27 over. lol

All I'm saying is..

Sneak that and a playseat home in the clio.

Forza 3.

Beers & pizza.

Few days off work.

Ring a certain southern deviant to join you for said racing fest.

What kinda seat do you use in the house? Normal chair and just sit the stand infront of it?

I've got a bean chair thing which is like a bean bag with a back. It works perfectly and hides away under the stairs with the wheel and pedals.

Just tried the wheel on the seat, it doesn't fit the mount properly. :(

G25/27 pedals work with the Fanatec pedals, I wonder if they work the other way round.

This is what they've sent us: http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=230&lang=en I think we need to order the table clamp though as it won't fit my desk here either.

Wood! I've got it!

How much for the frame?

Tele looks just a tad too high for me.

haha, seat with frame and gearstick holder cost £205 all together, can be had for £180 without the g/stick holder, is quite abit of money but if you enjoy racing games is 100% worth it.

its kinda had to tell on the pics but once you are sat down you are in perfect line with the screen, not like your sitting in the front row at a cinema:D thats my old tv tho and new one is on the wall but around the same height

I've just quickly lashed it to the seat, so excuse the mess. The pedals don't fit either. The seat and mounts were designed to accomadate a G25.

I think I'll just connect it to my PC, as I can't get it working with GT5P.

Good news, even though they're made in limited numbers, there's a Turbo S wheel on the way. If that gets here for the Forza 3 launch I'll be a happy b*****d.

They're promised us a few more when they get some new stock in too. :D

I could murder a coffee. I've not left my desk since I got here this morning. I had a doc to deliver. All done now, so I can go for a piss and a coffee followed by a quick stroke over the wheel.

I can't be bothered to write a review or anything, but I will add that this wheel will be coming home with me every evening and weekend once Forza 3 is out. I'll use my MS wheel for now at home

It's so nice to be able to play DiRT2 on a smooth belt driven wheel.

Please excuse the state of my desk!

What do you reckon then Lee, GT3 RS or Turbo S? Everyone seems to be going for the Turbo S and I'm sure Turn 10 said they were doing extra features to work with it. But I prefer the look of the GT3 RS.

I've got both. The GT3 RS has a lovely feel as it's suede trimmed, but it's PC and PS3 only. The Turbo S which I'm now using is 360/PS3/PC so I'm using it on the 360.

You always have it retrimmed Gareth if you really wanted it suede. Have it flocked for not a lot I expect.

What does a sensible setup cost from thos guys then? So many options to choose from!

IIRC the Turbo S and pedals were around £400? (unless you were an early order)

I was looking at that.

£300 with the plastic pedals from what I can get

£450 with the clubsport metal pedals.

What other wheel options are there for the 360?

Turbo S with Clubsport pedals is the setup you want, unless you don't need 360 compatibility. http://www.fanatec.de/webshop/new_e...id=62&osCsid=c46f12c47a9fa0eab2ea8219ca72c040

It works out around £430.

If you only want PS3/PC then get the GT3 RS with CS pedals for: £270

I'm loving the way the buttons on the Turbo S light up with different icons depending on what it's connected to.

The GT3 RS wheel is Alcantara, the Turbo S is hand stitched real leather!

I could never use one with the standard pedals having got the Clubsport ones. If you've got a G25/G27 then just use those pedals instead if you don't want to fork out for the CS ones.

will probably get one, just need to work out whether it will go with the wheelstandpro somehow

What other wheels are compatible with the 360 that are worth buying?

Also having never used a wheel if I don't like it or something how hard would it be to sell on Turbo S without losign to much money?

cheers.

Fairly easy I'd guess as they're order only and some people wont want to wait. Other wheels available are an MS wheel which is about £100 IIRC and a logitec wheel which is about £60 From memory both are only 300 degree rotation, that's the reason my Logitec is sat gathering dust, it's simply not enough.

I'll let you know later. It should fit pefectly looking at the way it works.

I've got the MS and Logitech fitment for my WSP.
