FAO all 182 owners

Further to my recent thread regarding the ASB ESP and SERV lights coming on in my 182 the other day

I have been in to Renault this morning to ask them about it and apparently Renault themselves are currently conducting an investigation into this as it is a known problem with the brake software which has happened to a number of cars now.

They told me that the findings will be released in 1 month and may require parts. They said I should contact them in 1 month and that there isnt really anything to worry about in the mean time (well they are only brakes I suppose, doubt I will ever need to use or rely on them anyway????).

They said they think it is the software which monitors the brakes, esp and abs and it is being overly protective!

Im sure theres nothing to worry about but I thought I would let you all know in case it happened to you and if it does, i guess you need to ask renault in 1 month what needs to be done. I will post more when I find it out.

You would of thought that if its an issue to do with brakes they would respond quicker than a month and do whatever needed to get the findings out sooner but there you go.

yeh i agree thank god its nothing to serious eh! i think i prolly use the breaks hmm 3 or 4 times a year at most!



but seriously, lets hope they sort it sooner!
