Hello...post kerb accident...this is my invoice..

i have the car back but its not driving right so will be retrurned after new year...

had a look and the subframe/all parts under the front look new with labels etc...

but i cant see if the steering rack etc has been replaced, can i check this in anyway..??

can anyone help me and give me a break-down of what has actually been done...


BTW my esp light is still on and the car is sliding all over the road, so wont be getting driven....should this not be fixed? i cant drive it without this...

yes it should be fixed, look at what ypu've paid it should be perfect!

they've discounted a whole load of stuff on there

it says "replaced steering rack as requested"

7711134966 "might" be the steering rack, but i have no way to check on this comp

Christ how hard/fast did you hit this kerb???
I hit one today in my 172 cup, thank christ i havent got esp and abs to worry about fixing (then again i wouldn,t of hit the kerb if i did have esp lol;)).
I think for the amount of money you have shelled out it should be as good as new.:S

i looked under the front suspension...they have used quite a few ties, to tie up cables...

does anyone know about the steering rack...from looking inside the car, the column thing looks like the original..?

should i really question the cable ties then??

the car is really bad to drive withour the esp, so im thinkn something more is still amiss...

i will do..(might have to be in the morning tho as its PITCH BLACK outside...

but from a quick look their seems to be a lot of shiney new metal parts...

(the bit underneath the radiator etc and around the sump (beneath the plastic quard appears to have been replaced)

thank god you dont have to goto renault in nottingham as they fuckd up my 24k service never mind a repair job on some thing like yours.
the cable tie thing is something to leave till later when talking to them when people are around an your able to come out with some thing like "an why was 87 cable ties used while fixing my car, was it to hold the damm vechical together" works as to say they do a shoddy job and puts people off.

So they've billed you over £2k, and used 87 cable ties, and your car still isn't right???

Transmission D - 8200/372/166 could be gear oil can't think of anything else it could be, and that isn't on the list already. Haven't got the latest dialogys here.

£145 quids worth of it?? i'd hope not as i dont think the touched anything that would need it...

i'd have hoped they would at least get the esp working...plus the brakes feel a wee bit shite aswell...

I'd take it back personally, or get an independent place/vehicle testing station to give it a thorough(sp) checkover sounds like they've fucked up.

I don't know how much the gearbox oil is, doubt it's that much but can't think what else it could be, I can find out tomorrow for you though unless fred/edde's about sooner.

Where the brakes bad before they went into the garage? and was the esp light on before aswell.

I'd get your airbags sorted aswell mate

the esp was perfect...it disables now as soon as you move off...and u can feel it sliding about...pretty s**t...

im gonna get the airbag done but unfortunately...i am skinto at the moment

you have to take it back to them to rectify it before you start going elsewhere, gotta give them the chance to finish what they started imo. ALthough you shouldnt need to go back but its never easy.

The price for the transmission oil is the price for 25 litres not the required 3.4 litres.
on the renault computer price list you can only buy it for some reason now in 25 litre drums ---- they have fucked you there mate

lol, go in and ask why they have charged you for 25 litres!!! If they say thats the minimum they can charge you for ask them for the other 20 odd litres as they would only have used about 3.5!!! I know I would just to be a pain in the arse as thats rediculous.

Nothing on the car is 25 liters in volume even coolent only 7 or so officailly gearbox is about 3.5 liters engine about 5 liters.

Get the car to decient garage or check yourself maybe take it to trading standards thats a rip off.

Id go in, have a chat with the service manager and the parts go to identify some of the parts that have been replaced.

Then query the zip ties and the oil pricing, and go with that. Id expect 20 ltrs of oil to be put into the boot though..

The question is though, what are you going to do with it..

ESP won't do anything, unless you are going around corner too fast :lolup: its not traction control

the "transmission d" was not fluid but in fact the drive shaft....

however they have said they have made a mistake and it is in fact 10 cable ties at 87p each and not 87 at 10p each...

i have it booked in again...


btw do cups have abs? nah?...thot that

and for your information son...the car does slide about now FACT...deal with it

i seem to remember my esp cutting in when my wheels spun? obviously i was wrong..eh?
