FAO anyone whos waiting for sprayed bits from me

i smooth my own stuff out afterwards, but most people dont want to wait the extra 2-3 weeks whilst its curing (i also dont have the room for them all). so i get it as smooth as i can and send them out.
 
hehe Im not bashing your work or anything (because its good) but G6 is the shizznits man.
I've used it like 24 hours after spraying and its been fine! Just get a very soft fine cloth and dont apply much pressure :D
 
fair enough. due to the number of lacquer coats i give them ive found i cant use anything other than super resin for some time otherwise it leaves quite nasty swirl marks which im not a massive fan of. to be fair, i doubt once any of my bits leave here that anybody has been arsed to actually compound cut them lol.
 
ooh i spot my badges looking well smart, im now thinking of getting my fuse box cover done, also would you be able to sparay a strut brace from red to the same colour blue you done my engine cover ;)
 
Your work has inspired me and seeing as your the guy who seems to specialise in plastic spraying do you have any tips.
I'm thinking of spraying my side strips and MK2 PH1 bumper plastics in pearl black; are good results possible on parts this large (using rattle cans) or is it best left to the pro's? How much paint would be needed to do the job?
 
That work is stunning mate, am tempted to have side badges and rear badges done
 
Mark - can you colour code the side moulds and exterior dor handles :>

if so how much :)
 
I cant get any spraying done whilst the weathers so s**t, purely becase i cant get the nice smooth finish from putting an inch of laquer on em

will let you know how stuffs coming along.

cant do sidemouldings i'm afraid too much of an arse to get them smooth
 
mark got mine ready to send off, just let me know when you want them, not in any rush just when ever really
 
well if your not in a rush send them across and i'll do them when i can, if you wanna keep em for a bit longer send them in a bout a week :)
 
well they are my spare set, the ones joe sprayed up and wre on the car, so they are just sat about doing nothing.
 
Not that i'm dissing mark's work...But it's really not that hard to spray some badges! lol.

Got some Paint from Autopaint for the 197 as someone has scraped the Bumpstrip on the 1/4 :( Whats the thought on paint from there? Good match?? Gonna have a bash in a week or two :)
 
Hahaha Id love to get the lacquer like that tbqfh.. The door strips are a mission and a half.. :( Especially with the wrong paint being given to me

one of the best imo, they're managed to mix me up colours (such as the anthracite ixell) that nobody else has managed. With it being a new car you shouldnt have any problems with fading of your original paint either.
 
Yeah they seem good. I sprayed up a VTS spoiler for the gf's car and it was bob on tbf!! Same amount of mettalic fleck etc. Noticed it has to be a nice warm day to get a good finish though.
 
Yeah, think thats true for most paints to be honest, i try as much as possible to spray in sunlight, seems to cure the laquer better and i've never had it going cloudy.
 
well done Mr Middo! i agree about spraying when its a nice day! i sprayed my interior trims on a fab day! and it makes all the differnce!! ;)
 
I'd be interested in having my side strips colour coded if you're looking for business Middo :) Mk2 Ph1's if that makes any difference. Could you PM me how much you would want for them please? Would like Pearl Black.

Would also consider the Wing Mirrors if the price is right. Good work fella.
