FAO BenR - Cambelt Change

  Mr2 Roadster

Is there anything I should be wary of here. I have done a change on a Ford engine so I know I have to keep it in the right possitions and make sure that when I tighten it I dont misalign it?

Are there any other probs I should be aware of on my RSi?

Thanks!

Um, not as such.

If you want to make life easy use some white marker paint and mark your own reference points in straight verticle lines for the timing. APart form that a normal belt change.

Yep, thats what I thought! Just draw a line straight through vertical! (in something that wont rub off, lol)

Will I need to remove anything else other than the covers and the belt its self...

If the Pulley I should replace easy to get to?

Thanks again!

you dont need to replace the pulley.

Ive not done the RSi so i wouldnt know how involed it is. But having seen teh engine bay its not too cramped.

you only get parts warranty if you fit a cambelt kit(inc tensioner).use a gen belt because they have timing marks on them so you cant go wrong.just put the engine to tdc first.
