Fao ClioJohn + anyone with -60mm Springs

  H22A7 Accord Type R

Ok ok, the Apex 40mm is nice.......but.........thought i would get some opinions from you lot who are running 60mms!

ClioJohn, you are ideal to ask, having been running the Apex for a while, and now changed to 60mms. :)

So, my questions..........Whats the best make of 60mm spring to get?? How are the different to the ride, handling and predictability of the Apex (Fred + ClioJohn?) and.........does anyone have a 60mm KIT? Springs and shocks? As i feel i would be aswell saving up for the kit and getting it all done?!

Come on the people, fill me with ammo. ClioJohn, definately gonna have to meet up when im in Scotland next month!! Would be ideal time to see the differences with the cars parked next to eachother!!! Might even be able to get a run in it to see how it drives???

Answers on a postcard, and Fred........STOP LAUGHING!!!! :D

Cheers all, Rob

the difference between 60mm and 40mm isnt really that great. i mean it is only 2cms. The handling feels abit tighter. I quite like it being lower, but for the extra 120quid Im not sure how worth while it was:)

Yeah sure we should meet up mate!

you may laugh at my stereo, or lack of it. I have a mates stereo in just now, i think my components must have blown when my stereo went cause they now sound rotten and distort and such low volume:(

lol no problem mate!! i shall probably get ya mobile number off ya nearer the time!! Be a good chance to compare them visually! As for the cost, it wouldnt be too bad for me, as me n my mate fitted the springs ourselves, i would just have to buy some 60mms, sell my 40mms, and get my tracking done again.

Strange that you say the difference isnt all that great. I have a pic of freds lowered 60mm on the std wheels and it looks low!!! But, i have 195/50 tyres on mine, which makes the arch gap look slightly more......! hmmmm, we shall see!

NAHHHHHH

ive seen you with an angle grinder in ur hand!!!! lol!!! What u think Fred.......should i? bearing in mind it would only cost springs n tracking......worth it for 20mm?

it is worth it if its only 60 quid.

it does look alot lower at the front. i need my tracking done big style.

but i cant find anywhere that will do it for me

Should any tyre place not do it?

While we are on the subject.

I have a set of Pi -40s on my 99 1.2.

Its a 5 door and the rear looks as though its sits lower, Is this due to the weight in the doors, or vision misconception?

If its due to the weight, do you think i could then get away with droping 60s in the front?

be serious tom, just cause you drive a girly clio...oh wait...we all do dont we:(

most tyre places tell me they cant do lowered cars, im gonna phone about:(

"do" what to them?

nah i dont give a fook if ONE of ma cars is girly it looks nice and at the moment so do i ;)

as for tracking probs i aint never had any my tyres wear evenly.

just do it man but i hope you like bumps but at the end of the day it handles better anyway

well im watching all about the spice girls right now, ohh the memories.

I do need my tracking done, but even with a 60mm i dont like the way my car handles.

Best car for handling ive ever driven was my dads 2.0 honda accord, i swear it was glued to the road.
