theres a guide on the cs main page (yes there is other things to this site than this) on how to change springs

tells you what you need and how to do it

only trouble is my membership has expired and cant get into it or i would of copied it for u

Piss easy, jack up, remove wheels, romove 2 hub to strut bolts, remove strut top plate/bolt.

Reamove strut assmebly, comresss springs and remove, uncompress, and recompress new ones, refit toe strut amd uncompress.

REe fit strut, torquing up nuts, refit road wheel.

Reapeat for other side

You dont, the springs re so small you dont need compressors you just bolt the strut up and the spring fits without being compressed to fit.

its really not that difficult

u just take the suspension unit out (shocks and spring together) take it apart, put the new spring in, put it back together and put it back on the car

simple as that

fook, wrong end, even though im down in south quite a bit, hmmmm might have a look at it on the weekend, is there somthing in the members section about changing the springs that would help?

rear: undo shocker top nuts jack the car up (both sides) axlebeam will drop down and allow you to pull the springs out, refit the new ones and lower the car back down guiding the shocker struts through the body and refit/retighten nuts.
Front:loosen wheelbolts jeack car up remove wheelbolts and wheel. undo the top half of the strut top mount but dont remove it. undo both the bolts that hold the strut to the hub carrier and free it from the hub carrier being careful not to pull the driveshaft too far towards you. undo the top half of the strut top and drop strut down from the inner wing. there will be a shallow nut on the strut undo this and remove the spacer, bottom half of the top mount the bearing and the upper srping plate, remove the spring replace with the new one and refit the upper sring plate, then bearing and lower top mount then spacer then nut and reverse the rest of the process to refit it. easy really.

^^^^ might just do that fred.............am having visions, you know those old laurel and hardy films where their car goes around a corner one way and the wheel goes the other............that would be me on my own

if you take your tiem, get a haynes and follow the guide, and make sure everything fits right etc etc, good ol renaults, most things will only fit one way you cant go wrong
