FAO Milltek Owners

Ive spoken to some one about this in the past, i have been told it comes out the right hand side pipe more as this is the side with the least amount of piping and restriction.
Both my pipes are warm tho from just a general drive about, but yea when throttling it does get bloody hot.

diggin' up this thread.. any news from milltek regarding the fumes or the heat?

nah sorry mate they never got back to me after me chasing it up, tbh even if you have one pipe getting hotter than the other due to an uneven gas flow from each pipe i doubt it would make any difference, more of a slight annoyance (and you would expect an even gas flow from a big manufacturer), just one of those things with some of the Milltek's

bump on this thread for another one:
I've finally managed to have my tail pipes sit proper in the bumper cuts but when the exhaust gets hot the left tip goes off center. this is right after doing the 2,5" cat mod. maybe the previous joint helped the exhaust to move a bit when expanded from dilation.
any ideas of a possible cure? tailpipes sit so nice now when cold :(

I have even pressure in both pipes and they get very hot.

Not so strange the standard system tailpipes wont get as hot as they are only "sleves" with hardly no contact with the hot exhaust.

Chrispy.clio: That melting is almost 100% certain caused buy the exhaust hangers beeing old and tired = exhaust moving around touching/geting to close to the plastic. Mine did the same thing.

Ripp: I have the same mod and my exhaust does the same thing. You have to slacken all exhaust mounts and the center section and redo it. Tune it to sit perfect when hot.

My Miltek... It does come out of both but on cold days you can tell more does come out the O/S pipe...

But It does not melt my exhuast surround, that will be all the movement in the exhaust mounts... I used Powerflex Exhaust Mounts EXH008, sits leval and doesent move excessively... Had these uprated exhaust mounts 3 years now and there perfect still...

My stock exhaust does it. I imagine under power that it pushes air out both and causes no restriction issues.

Main worry for me is people behind think I've got some stick on halfords bits!
