fast fan relay???

hey guys i own a 52 plate clio cup and last nite i was driving home when my engine management light flicked up and my car went into limp mode and wouldnt restart (at 1am)! i recovered the cup to were i work and plugged it into my scanner the fault code was

285 fast relay to ground

has anyone ever had this problem before?

Check the realy for a bad connection.

Is on the passenger side under the plastic cover thingie.
