Fastest group 10 car? (1.6 etc)

  ?
Been looking at a clio rsi... insurance is dead cheap for me in febuary!!! is there anything else i should be looking at that faster/a better choice for the price?

Points to keep in mind:

  • Need to be cheap on insurance (Rsi ish group)
  • Need to be PETROL
  • Need to be cheap (Rsi can be had for circa £1500)
Cheeeeeers :D

Quicker than a VTR but you'll get eaten by a VTS and lose to a Lupo GTi, not by a massive margin though. Despite what people say, they're quicker than the stats suggest and handle brilliantly.

I think the RSi's are group 11. If you can stretch to group 13, a 106 GTi is pretty nippy.

Dont like the vts/vtr/106 due to their chav image. Think im gnna go for an rsi! Now just to phone insurance company when there open... ive got a feeling they wont give me a decent quote though so ill have to wait till my renewal in febuary

How old are you mate just out of interest? If you are over 21, Quinn Direct are normally decent with Insurance Quotes, their policies also allow you to drive any other motor vehicle 3rd Party.

You might struggle a bit with Quinn then, because if the car insurance group is too high, they wont insure you until you're 21. Best thing you can do is give them a try.

2 places to steer clear from though are 4youngdrivers.co.uk and insureyourmotor.com

:)

If you mean the same as mine, mk2 rsi(1.6) then its a good car, lightweight bonnet, leather interior, air con etc. Quite nippy as well.

Been trying morethan, seem very cheap. Did a virtual quote (ie... if i did have 2 years driving experiance etc etc...) it came to £580 3rd party!!

Yeh a mk2ph1 1.6 16v rsi. Hopefully in silver or black. Not bothered about aircon etc. Just want the power :)
