Faulty Headunit??

When i got the car it already had an aftermarket head unit, but it has a couple problems...
It doesnt automatically come on when i turn the engine on, and it doesnt save any radio stations i tune, or settings i change (bass etc)

Was wondering if its the headunit itself, ot just some wiring thats wrong?

Sounds like wiring, one power lead is constant and one comes on with the ignition, check their both connected, if they are then try swapping them

Red and yellow IIRC?

Try swapping the red and yellow wires. Should already have connectors on to allow you to do this.
so red > yellow, and yellow > red. Or if they're already like this swap them back red > red and yellow > yellow.
