Fcuking Apple !!!!!

Forgot to update mine.
Waited a few days for battery to arrive.
Dropped the phone off and it was a 2 hour wait for it to be fitted.

Phone is working fine again.

Update
Package was delivered yesterday, the same item as in that video.
I watched a YouTube video of fitting a new battery and dived in. The little sucker in the kit to remove the screen was crap, so I used a bigger one that was here and it worked fine. The glue that holds the battery in place just pulls outs, but the second strip split, which meant I had to pull the battery out with my fingers. I was worried it would break as it was stuck, but it came out eventually, all twisted. No probs, though. The little screws are very small but the screwdrivers had magnetic tips which helped a great deal. Put in the new battery and it all worked perfectly. Took about 30 mins, 10 without the screen hassle.
I let it run down to 10% then fully charged it this morning. There's still 84% charge remaining after 6 hours, being out in the cold and being used on and off.

Also in the kit was a charging cable, screen protector (a thick one) and all the tools. For £8.90 it's a result. Apple can kiss my old battery !

My battery was comical in the winter in Chicago. It got down to minus 30 celcius, and the battery would last about an hour in my pocket before just giving up.

I need to get it replaced anyway, as it’s terrible.

Get it done! Mine has been great these past few days, even in the cold weather. And the phone is back to it's old speed, much faster than it has been of late :)

I have an iPhone 6 and for the last week its been playing up.
When im in wifi range at home its fine, but when im out or at work and 3/4G has to work I cant get pictures to properly load. Things like instagram wont fully load and im left with a bunch of half blurry looking images.
Anyone any idea whats happened or what ive accidentally done to my phone.
I even went into Vodafone yesterday and they gave me a new sim but its made no difference.

Off to Apple shortly to get the battery replaced. It's slow at times but for the sake of £30 it'll see my iPhone 7 out until the new phones are released.

They ask you to back it up and turn off find my phone.

Mine came back as I gave it to them though with all pics and apps etc.
No carnage caused at all by them swapping the battery.

So they do actually just replace the battery in your own iPhone rather than give you another referb from stock? That's what they done for me in the past... mind you it was faulty (speaker died)

To be honest I'm hoping the former because I have a non-genuine screen replacement and they might not do it if they have to take mine in exchange.

Battery is in stock do i really need to book appointment as per the email IRC the person who i spoke to said once its in jist visit at your convenience n

I've read that if you've had any work carried out by someone other than Apple they won't touch it.

Well, I have heard this too... but surely it only makes sense if it's to do with something that could affect the battery life? A screen couldn't, and if they're giving your own phone back I really don't see the problem. Oh well can only try I suppose.

Just went into the Apple store at Lakeside and got my battery replaced for £25. Handed it over and it took them an hour and a half to do it.

Yep, similar story. Cambridge turned mine over whilst I went for breakfast.
They tried to charge until I pointed out the wasted visits previous for the 6s recall.

Quick question, is eBay just naturally slow on an ipad now ? I inherited one about four years ago & eBay has been dog s**t on there lately (I'm using normal ebay, not the app)

Not one for jumping on the apple hate bandwagon but since I’ve put the most recent update on my iPhone 6 the earpiece has gone quiet. Making taking a call anywhere with back ground noise impossible.

Also the phone is noticeably slower, something I’ve never noticed with previous updates.

I bought a second hand iPhone 6s Plus and the ear piece is exactly the same as your can’t listen to anything, thinking I’m going to have to change it but just can’t be arsed

all my praising of apple, my iPhone 6s has died spectacularly. it did show on iTunes when it died initially and allowed me to do a full restore which I hoped would sort it, it didn't and now it won't even show up on iTunes. gutted.

I’ve noticed past couple days just before I go to bed I’ve been recharging my iPhone 7+ and when I wake up I find that it’s dropped by 30%?? Is this some sort of a normal thing due to software bug?

@Geddes Have a look in the battery stats (Settings -> Battery) and see what the phone says is using power, might be an app update has gone bad and is flaying the battery. Also check the battery health (same place) and see if the maximum capacity has dropped off - might be a failing battery.

The battery dropping rapidly seems to be a common problem across the board since 11.4. I charge mine over night leave for work at 6:30, by 8:25 this morning it was on 20%... that's with about 20mins browsing instagram, facebook and BBC news.
