Few Problems?

  Renault Clio MK4 RS
My car recently has been getting quite a pain! ive only had it 2months and it was ok for the first month.

I got some 40mm lowering springs fitted and they was good for the first 2 weeks but these last two weeksthe back end of the car has started to like creak + make loud thudding sounds over the smallest of bumps. Would you say there may be anything damaged or just the lowering springs affecting the dampers etc?

Also the rear drum brakes are starting to squeak. One person has said it could be warped, another one has said it make need a clean and be lubricated or change of brake shoes? which one would you say it will mainly be, its whenever im letting off the brake again that it squeaks but its when i lightly or firmly press the brake?

Change the rear shoes and put a new fitting kit on too..

Bet the springs are apex or similar cheap brand if so the first two coils on the springs are rubbing together hence the squeaking the thudding etc is also down to the springs ..Try and buy some springs that are progresivly wound like eibach or PI.

yeah the springs are gmax and are cheap, i think i will be selling the lowering springs and put my car back on standard springs until around december time and ill get some coilovers fitted as they seem much better, thinking some of them rokkor coilovers and heard they are cheap for coilovers and some quite good reviews on them! as for the rear brakes i will be doing them within a month or two due to no money at the moment, got a 4l bottle of oil and spark plugs to change as the car is odd when just started and the spark plugs look fairly crap in the car so ill be changing them. buying 2 new track rod ends, oil filter, air filter and exhaust mount aswell and then the car should be running nicely after the changover :)
