Few small problems with the clio starting and locking!

Occasionally the car wont start just turns over but eventually it will get fuel and start but then sometimes it will cut out (only happened twice over 6 months)it seems to not get fuel and like its running out i changed the fuel filter but this hasnt cured the problem!
The central locking sometimes doesnt work on the drivers side it sounds like the car should have locked but the drivers door is still open the reat of the car is locked though!My girlfriend has found she has to check all the doors before walking away from the car!
can anyone help on these problems are they common faults?

its a 1.2 x reg clio grande mark 2 phase 1. can any one help. its started to cut out alot more recently and takes for ever to start some times!
