Fiesta ST Stage 3
As im a bit bored at work thought i would give a little review of the first month of the Fiat coupe 20v Turbo.
Performance
The car has 2.0 5 cylinder 20v turbo engine puting out 220-230 BHP and 230-240 lb/ft . 0-60 in 6 - 6.4 sec and 0-100 in 14.5 and a top speed of 150-160.
The performance is very good max torque comes in at 2500 rpm and max power at 5800 rpm 3rd gear is good for 100 mph. So far i have not come across anything to test the Coupe ( Saxo VTR & Fiesta ST ) but Straight line performance is not to far off my old EVO 4 .
Handling
Not to bad at all not in the leage of the Clio sport but by no means bad . There is loads of grip but not to much in the way of feel in the steering but quit happy with the handling .
Breaks
Very strong 310mm Brembo 4 pot up front and 260 at the rear . Break peadle has some trael to it but its more Progressive and has some real meat when you push a bit harder .
Looks
I think you like them or not . I do like all the sweeps and cuts and little bits like the door handle, rear lights, alloys etc
Cost
The best part about the car . his one cost me £ 1500 and has all the big jobs done Cambelt and all other belts , water pump , oil coolers, recon turbo, new manifold, . The insurance is £ 24 cheeper than the Clio and this is a insurance group 19 car . The mpg is not amazing but then that goes with out saying if i try hard and keep it off boost might get 30 mpg.
Overall i love this car for the cost there is nothing with the performance or looks to touch it and as there quit rear now ( only 36 on pistonheads ) feel a bit special. It does have its fault but then so does every car . Think EVO mag sums it up Perfectly ..... So much speed and style for so little :approve:
