What have you got on atm Lee? Just a standard bonnet?
I'd be cutting all the X from from underneith it out and there probably wouldn't be much weight left.
just got standard panels atm with nothing cut out.
just spoke to someone who can do me a full set (Bonnet,doors and boot) in kevlar carbon for a grand.
doors woul weigh about 7kg each bonnet about 4kg and boot about 5kg!

I have cut the second skin out of my boot and bonnet and i saved a lot of weight. My bonnet weights just over 5kg including the bonnet catches. But its a little flimsy now so could do with having a bit of strenghthing at the front. The boot is still pretty strong tho and its had quite a lot cut out.

thanks mate, i spoke to them a little while agogood prices and not too far away from me. the only i want to make sure is before i go and spen £1400 on panels and windows will there be enough of a weight drop.

Great prices those, although VAT is added afterwards. Stupid question, but when it says bonnet skin and bonnet skin and internals, what's the difference? is it just fixings etc on top. Same with boot and doors?

Personally, on weight saving grounds I would say you're going to lose more kgs per £ by swapping the glass.
Replace side and rear windows with Lexan Polycarbonate. You don't have additional cost of painting as you would replacing panels either, and it is safer than glass for track days too. That stuff is pretty scratch resistant too.
