Filler cap surround repair

The metal around my 172's petrol filler cap is looking a bit grotty. I suspect that, if I was to dismantle it, there would be rust.
Has anyone had a repair done? How much was it?

I need to get this done on my 182.

I got a couple of quotes a few months ago from body shops for £600-£700. However, belts and dephaser needed doing so put off the rust repair for now.

Managed to find one of the quote breakdowns

The other quote was verbal, which includes sorting out and respraying the whole rear quarter panel too which was in the region of £700.
