filter socks for carbs?

can anyone think of anytging better?
i just think they look bloody auful when they are just cable tied on

and i dont have the room for solid ones like this

I have these on my Puma rally car, will be changed to a proper sausage filter though.

The socks are supposedly only good to around 150bhp.
