Final exhaust question.

  S1 16v 106 Rallye
Right, so I have a 1.4 J reg MK1 PH1 fidji clio, and I want a raspy sounding exhaust. My mate bought a scorpion and they sound spot on, thing is, they don't do one for mine. Here's what they do them for:

Would any of these fit mine without loss of performance?? If not, does anyone know which would require less cutting/welding if I was to buy one?

Also, is a cat-back the backbox and the cat, or dummy cat, or just the backbox? Cheers.

Surely you don't have a cat atm? All you want is just a straight through system from the downpipe back? I still say go get a custom one done, then it'll be a decent fit and you can tell them how you want it to sound. None of this cutting/welding trying to bodge systems together. :)

Thanks Jim. Dermy told me the other week its not a cat, just a box with two silencers. Figured a straight through pipe would be better though? Especially since I wouldn't fancy splitting the box to get the silencers out. I tried one exhaust specialist but they were too far away and wanted the car there to beable to make the exhaust. Know anywhere that does that's local round Staffordshire?

Thanks Jim. I'm going to ring them tomorow. Just spent about half an hour browsing their site and it looks promising =D

Do you know what sort of price they charge?

Good stuff. :) I think it's around £200 - £250 ish. But again, I'm not too sure, it depends on how complex the system is and what kind of tip you choose, etc. But at that price it's around average for a stainless steel system.

Cheers lads. Car's booked in for a 2" lipped out cat-back system down at leek next monday! I'll post some pictures/videos some time next week after tuesday (booked in for a cam-belt and a new clutch cable).

Thanks again! :D

Ops i dont think i explained properly last time lol, what i ment by taking the silencers out was take off the middle section, chuck it away and replace it with pipe right upto the bk box, like this, its not a "bodge"
