Well, ive sold the RT and moved on to bigger, much BIGGER, and better things.....ish!

Only bought her because it was a steal @ the asking price, Performance Great! But would love a Clio Valver Instead...

Got myself a Peugeot 405 Mi16... RRd @ 167BHP it says on the form... I must say shes extremely quick form around 4000RPM, all the way up to 7000RPM But still, call me crazy, i miss my RT, loved the corners she did, the new sherman tank isnt so bad either but obviously not as sharp.

Ill Get some pics up soon once ive treated her to some cosmetics.

was thinking more along the lines of keeping the 405 as a streetsleeper for a little bit then dump the lump D) into a 306... What do u think, 205 was the second option.

ally blocked Mi16 is a 1.9, iron blocked mi16 out of the 306 is 2ltr and pap.

my mates got a 205 mi16 (1.9 block), nice little car it is, especially since its still badged up as 1.6gti, suprises the odd thing or two.

another mate also had an mi16 engine in his 309 gti, but got sick and wanted a turbo so we swapped it for a 2ltr 8v turbo from a 406 sri, easy swap but not a pleasant looking engine! was quicker than the mi16 tho.

The 309 is a better car than the 205, dunno why i never caught on.

yeah the 309 was allegedly a better handling car than the 205, and went rather well with the peaky and revvy 16v motor. just wish he had spent a few quid on it and got carbs, cams and a pukka head job!

Say for example a head gasket went on one of these, because the previous owner is a total muppet and told me he had recently changed it but hadnt, even tho i said i was going to change it as i wanted to keep the 140 thou mile motor in the mint condition it is...

What do you recon the chances are i could swap this for a little 3 door RT / RSi ? Im just not used to the bigger car or the sheer grunt of the stock 160BHP! engine... i feel with this high end torque difference to what im used to was a bad mistake on my behalf. Lured in by is sheer evil looks and statistics, plus the amount of service history

Basically, with my old RT i could fix a head gasket problem or something similar, the Mi16 engine tho i havent got a clue, looks and sounds waaaay too complex, plus its too nice to start pulling appart.

If anyones interested in this, ask for the full spec if you dont all ready know...im sure you all do tho!

I own a cup and have just bought a Pug 205 Mi16 engine fitted it is also badged as a 1.6 gti as thats what it was originally, my cup handles better and as much as it pains me to admit!!! the Pug is quicker than my Cup upto 70mph due to the gearbox being for a 1.6, not the 1.9 16v engine, but in my CUPs defense it will do over 150 as is extensivley modified and my Pug will only do 118mph due to shorter ratios and revving out! Infact my Pug cost less than the mods only on my CUP, both are very good track cars!
