Just needed the bumper, side pods and roof spoiler painting. Pods and spoiler needed a lot of work due to mounts holes etc.

Yeah they need to go black or the wheels need to go silver.

I really hate putting a car in for work aswell, have to explain things 10 times and then they go and do it wrong or make an arse of it anyway!

It doesn't seem as sad because you're on a car forum.

If you told someone in real life that youre excited then it may appear sad :l

Awesome, I think you've likely increased the value of the car purely by having the pods back to standard and the badges back on. Wheels back to standard?

hopefully when wheels are done all the money I have put in will be balance with the increase in value.

14k should be about right, Jesus not seen a phase 2 for under 15k since last year.

I think you've definitely taken the right route with this, the Clio V6 is at a stage now where you would be insane to start modding them, at least without keeping the original parts to put it back to standard should you want to sell.

Great Job :)

**NB

My Brother-in-law, just bought a phase one, I've replaced my headlight washer jets on my 182, and worked out cheaper from the dealership, I bought a new numberplate light and fitting for his V6 at the same time which cost just over £6!

Well here is a shitty pic of any car after the wheels have been refurbed. Just got back in after a frustrating few hrs. Arrived to pick up car at 5pm to be told one of the alloys needed to be redone due to bubbles in the paint. 3hrs later I set off home. On the way back my car drove like a piece of s**t due to them not balancing the wheels correctly. Fucked off is a understatement.

All they do is refurb and balance wheels, this is the 3rd they have done this to me. Really pissed off.

They are going to have I pay my local fitter as I am not doing another 100 mile round trip to sort.

Anyhow pic.

Well that was not what I expected.

Ok so just collected the car after paint, firstly the car was not even washed, a right f**king mess tbh. Somewhere along the line when we where talking about the vents in the bumper, I said "leave the vents alone" he understood that as don't paint the corner sections of the bumper. £648 and not even a full bumper respray.

At this point I was slowing getting to blowing point as I would of given him a hiding for taking the piss.

However on the flip side, the work he has done is to a very high standard, he also used water based paint.

Now the pods are silver, I prefer them black. In think this is purely down to the fact the car is filthy and they are fighting against the black wheels. Once they are done this tues I'm sure it will look right.

This just reinforces why i hate traders, why dodge not question that i did not want a full bumper paint?????

This one has spoiler tags that do nothing.

Cars looking so much better! :)

Who did the wheels? They seem to have a duller, more grey finish than usual.

Lol still don't know what a spoiler tag is. Can u explain?

You can add spoiler tags to something to hide parts of a post. So people have to open the spoiler to see it, mainly for films so they're not ruined by people talking about it.

Like this.

  Mint 1*2's for sale-
Looks great back in the OEM colours- although as said above they do look a tad dull, hopefully its just the light & they sparkle up in the light otherwise they would be going back.!!

From that image it doesn't look to bad- At the end of the day you've got to be happy.

If it was acid dipped & powder coated & all the shizzle then I would want perfection, if it was run of the mill wheel refurb then you wont quite get that perfect finish!

who knows.

Yes acid dipped plus powder coat.

They do appear to have lost some of the Oem finish, but it's a complete ball ache to get right. It's a multi stage process involving silver, black, and then a little more silver over the black afaik.

Nice. Not only is the paint sanded back in that area/not there at all but that would leave me with doubts about how much paint is even on there, must be the lightest finish ever.
