why would they they arnt been sexist at all they calculate your premium on several factors and unfortunatly been male is a bad thing been young is bad where you live may be bad your job may be bad

Its their mistake they shouldn't charge you for it!!

They made a massive mistake on my first ever policy, I had a small initial discount from joining through some search engine and joining online, but then on the bottom of my policy there was -500£ for special circumstances. When they rang me to let me know about this (2 months into my policy after i tried to insure my alloys) I just went mental and told them their mistake is not my problem and no i'm not going to fork up 500£!! The bloke had the cheek to tell me he could take 50 quid off as it was two months into the policy.

After speaking to his manager a very scared little man came back on the phone hoping i wasn't going to shout at him any more and said my policy would continue as normal.

Lesson, shout your ass off and see where it gets you!!

I was already to get fired up but just got a call back from them apologising profusely saying I dont owe them anything it was their mistake (well duh like i was going to let it slip any other way)

go drive it through there office window or something! thatrs criminal! as for basing insurance on statistics thats rubbish as well it should be calculated on the individual! difficult to start with i know but later on when you have a track record! my mrs car get insured on my cup for half as much as me an i have a clean license and 5 yrs no claiimswhilst she has 2 yrs! no justice! if it was the other way round it would be sexist!!!!

id be telling them that this was there fault and that you clearly stated you were male ( richard being the big giveaway there) and that they have tp sort this. dunno if the financial services authority are to do with this stuff theres also someone else but when i mentioned them to tesco when i had prob all was sorted by the end of the week with nothing to pay!

PMSL i said thst to my self, be cheaper to get the change but then i remembered a program that was on and they said it was like £40 grand lol, couple of 197's lol
