Finishing aluminium

Am i correct in saying that you dont need to apply a finish to aluminium? e.g can i just wet and dry aluminium and job done or should i spray with laquer or something else?

i would laquor it as it will corrode through time and dull down

yeah it gets a dull grey look to it as the surface oxidises, try some 3M scotchbright or sumthing similar.

Jus depends on what your doing and where its for i suppose.

Would laquor it tho as the finish would last longer.
