After a 2 years of driving and getting more into cars, I decided to drop it and put a set of wheels on it

Having trouble with getting more images on, but this is basically how is sat from June of this year until now. Only other mod I got done during this time was colour code the door handles. Now I have a bit more mula and can finally continue on with it.

Car will be changing a fair bit soon and I will get photos up of the progress.

Car is booked in for getting the 172 back bumper fitted at the end of January and recently got rid of the rs' and got myself a set of rota grid v's

Here are a few pics - haven't got a decent photo of them on yet.

The car is getting left in next Tuesday to get the 172 rear bumper on and I still have no trim for it! Phoned renault and they are looking £160 +VAT which is ridiculous. Can anyone help me out? Anyone breaking a 172/182 who would sell me this?

So I haven't updated this in a while but I have got the rear bumper fitted and eventually got the bumper insert!

Here's it before, standard bumper and a few lovely wee dings.

Guys done an amazing job fixing the two rear quarters and this is how the back end is now

Also had a go at restoring the head lights

They came up rightly but still need a few more goes at it until I'm satisfied!

Got the rear lowered more with a new set of springs and it looks a lot better

The rotas are going back on this weekend hopefully and I'm now prepping my car for Ultimate Car Show at the end of the month

- yellow bulbs for headlights & foglights
- finally get my 280mm momo
- change the brutal gear knob that came with the car (will upload photo of it soon)

Future plans:
- Cup spoiler
- do something with the interior (no ideas at all as of yet)

The rears poked a bit and the arch was catching the tyre so much when driving so parked it up for the night as it wasn't driveable at all

Got the camber sorted out earlier today which helped it a bit but still not good enough

Tyres got a bit of a beating from driving once up and down the street

As this is a daily driven car I had to put the coilover springs back in so that I can get about.
So it went from this:

to this:

Doesn't look overly bad at this height but still it needs to just sit just a tad lower and which is driveable. The arches can't be rolled due to the filler in the left arch so there's a possibility that the inner arches will just be cut away so that it won't scrub the tyre.
Also maybe cutting a tad off the lowering springs to allow it to fit over the rear adjusters off the coilovers and raise it up a notch that way but still not sure.

Back to the drawing board :/

  Titanium 182
Looks ace with the grids on mate, you should leave the back and bring the front up a little to make it sit smoother to avoid the rubbing problem, but that's just my opinion.

Cheers mate. It doesn't rub with the coilover springs in at all, and if I raise it up at the front it will look daft with the arch gap. The front is perfect but the rear isn't at all. Nearly considering different wheels because it's a bit of a nightmare atm :/

Keep the wheels mate, just find a way to make the camber work and it should be alright.

Looks epic on the rotas. have you thought about getting your arches rolled? mine used to rub like that before i took the spacers off, all i need to do is roll mine

Cheers mate but I can't roll the arches. When I got the rear quarters repaired they used filler and rolling them will push the filler out. Needed to get them rolled before I got it all fixed up but too late now. Getting the inner arch cut out as I can't roll them :/

Gutted :( cutting them should work though!

looks full r****d in its lowest form.
As the skimmed tyres demonstrated.

But as a clean Clio, it's pretty nice :)

Cheers pal, tho I don't think it looks full r****d. Will get that rubbing the tyres problem sorted anyway - I hope lel

Still have lots of things planned to do to it but for now it will probably be a slow process:boring:
Anyone help me out of what size bung I need for when I remove my rear wiper? Can't find any on ebay etc

yeah, looks like a 1/2 done job at the moment with the fronts all tucked in.

If it was my car (its not, granted), I'd raise the front so I could get the spacing. That way I'd get less plough-ahead when turning the steering wheel, AND, as a bonus, some suspension travel.

Raising the front up a bit would look daft imo because the front would be higher than the rear and it would look odd. I like the way it's pretty even tucking the tyre front and back atm. And it's also a complete gift to drive! Could always try bigger spacers on the front and I might be lucky enough to get away with it not scrubbing. But I do know what u mean, I do want them sitting out a bit more at the front
