first HD TV buying help

  none, just walk
im thinking about getting a HD TV for my living room, thing is i dont have a fortune to spend i think i could stretch to £500, ive seen a lot for the 399 mark but are they any good? is it a case of the best brand being a better buy? its just a remember a while ago when dvd players first became popular and the cheaper non big brand ones were just as good? my mother bought a hdtv from amazon not that long ago and paid around the the £400 mark and it was ok, but in the stands in asda the cheaper ones have a poorer picture? dunno if thats just the ariel they were using....
what kinda size should i be looking for? im going to be using my xb360 on it so bigger size would be nice, im not expecting a 42 sony or anything like that, and im not a brand snob so i would have a unknown brand.
what models should i keep my eye out for?

but warning every tv out there has faults of some sort its just upto you to decide if you can live with them or not :)
no lcd/plasma is perfect their owners usually think they are but they arnt so you need to find the best of a bad bunch

You could spend you life reading reviews on av forums, and you would end up never buying anything! Get yourself out there and get the tosh, for the money you cannot go wrong
