First polish for the ph-cups

Somehow avoided polishing the car since i bought it back in december, and seeing as its been amazing weather for the past few days here in sunny yorkshire (no, seriously) it seemed like a good time to do it.

Basic outline of the days proceedings:

AG shampoo wash
blade and towel dry
full clay with megs bits
polished with AG super resin
Armourall tyre black
AG bumper care to sort the polish overspill

Photobucket has murdered the quality but you get the idea.

Did u use a blade?

You will get raped by the detailing gurus for that.

Love the car though

Looks smart, not normally a fan of after market alloys but it does sit really well, Height looks spot on too;)

The Ph1's are really growing on me. I used to really dislike the headlights on them but recently Ive started to like them especially when slammed like this.

If I could get one with a PH2 interior instead of the bluey green one that'd be rocking.

Thinking of going for a work car/park anywhere car and getting a PH1 for playing in :)

I was just about to say, bad times :(

Nice car though, if you can get some stretch on those tyres and winde it down further it'l look class :)

Cheers guys.

I only really use the blade on the windows and roof to be honest, the rubber seems very flexible, is it really that bad for the paint?

As for the mirror cap, i brushed past it a couple of days ago and it just flew off, think the clips must have been shot for a while. A new set are on their way anyway. Was going to paint them a mental colour but decided against it in the end.

What setting did you use on the 2nd shot? DOF is good

looking nice!

i think the main reason people dislike the drying blades is because even though the car is clean after a wash there may still be some small grains of grit on the paintwork and by using the blade the thoery is you will drag the grit particals over the paint scratching it.

Thanks guys, always good to hear some love for the cups after the resounding NO response when i first said i was going to do it.

Pictures were shot in .raw format then psuedo HDR'd in photomatix with pretty tame settings. Then pushed through photoshop and given a few choice tweaks.
