Is it normal for the needle to hover around 1250 rpm when no pressure is on pedal?? Also wouldnt go into 1st or second briefly and the knocking from the rear is gonna need sorting asaP -ANY IDEAS?????????????????????

sometimes it does idle high but then it will calm down mate , sometimes i cant get it in first when the engine is hot and im stoped. Knocking from the rear? is that your back box? If so i have put up with that for months u soon get used to it

After a longish thrash - the gear thing worried me for a bit and that knocking is seriously annoying me!!!

Mine idles like that sometimes mate so dont worry.

My zorst has nevver knocked (Magnex)which is strange as my mates knocks loads. Hes got zip ties holding his so it doesnt.

Mine seemed to fit perfectly!

idle will be speedo cable/road speed sensor earth most likely, or iscv could do with a nice clean!

my old zorst knocked on teh rear beam whilst driving!

Cheers -sorted the knocking out with a couple of cable ties -that was my main annoyance! - bit worried about the gearbox tho -hope it doesnt happen again!!

from changing gear quicky when thrashing

or needs a new clutch / plate

Decided ibiza idea can happen later on (going to law school this sept with tutition fees of 10K!!). Cheap fix to tie me over speed wise seemed logical alternative
