Fitted Recaro's - Information Needed About Resistor

Fitted some Recaro Trendlines today, got some resistor's from Maplins in different Ohms.
First one I tried didn't take the airbag light away.

The next resistor am going to try is 3.9omh 0.25watt. If this works will the airbag light automatically disappear?

I tried this method.

Using existing standard seat belts.
I have used a far too high ohm resistor that's why it's not worked.
But if I get the right resistor will the light automatically go off?

  V6 255, 172's, JCW,
The light will go off automatically, as long as its bridging the correct wires.

Use a resistor between 1.8 and 4 ohms

Have you left the pretensioner sensor wired up still?

If so you'll only need one resistor per seat, not two like if your using harnesses.

See this thread. IIRC if you've still left the pretensioner sensor wired up, you only need to put a resistor in the black connector.
I'll double check on mine.
