Fitting 4-2-1 with head off

Is fitting the 182 4-2-1 whilst the head is off straight forward or still a fiddly job?

You *may* be able to drop the exhaust manifold between the block and the firewall/guard or whatever it's called but I wouldn't like to say for sure. When i tried to see how far off it was (with the head on) there was no chance it was going to get down there, hence I dropped the subframe. Good luck

I think it's do-able just about if you pull the block as forward as you can and remove all the heat shields but it's a b**ch getting the heat shields back on with the manifold in place
