Fitting a 182 Head on a 172??

I've been offered a modified 182 head for a good price.

Thing is i have a 172.

If i fit the 182 head what problems can i expect to run into?

I have a feeling the plenham may need to be changed and a few other things but can anyone knock up a guess list at what i'd need to swap if possible.

Get a 182 plenum so the mountings match up, block the vac pipe for the carbon canister (different place on the 182 plenum) and you're away. Make sure the head comes with the rocker cover (it's matched to the head, this isn't optional) and a breather box, as this is different on too.

sorry thought i was clear. Yes the rocker cover is specific to the head, it is machined to match it, you must have the right one

Am going to take a look at the head sunday (hopefully) so will see how it goes.

Now just to find 182 Plenum & Breather Box...

Do the 172 Inlets fit the 182 plenums & rocker cover then?

Might get inlets matched while i'm at it.

lower inlet is the same fitment on all 172/182
