Fitting a hands-free kit? HELP NEEDED

OK, I pulled a Nokia handsfree kit out of my VR6 and decided to fit it yesterday.

So I have fed my live and earth up to the battery, and have my speaker mounted on the pass side. I got the mic up the side panel but then failed when trying to get it into the light unit. Is the tork screw inside the light unit holding the roof lining up at the front? If I undo this, will it drop a little to feed it through?

Also, I have a blue with with an inline glass fuse. This was plummed into the fuse box on the golf, so I assume its a switched ign live or something. Can anyone tell me whats the best wire to splice into around the fuse box area as thats where eveything is being hidden.

Thanks in advance

The first question, I'm not sure, just give it a go? (sorry)

The second, the best place to pick up an easy ignition live is probably on the back of the headunit, that way you don't need to fuse it either really as it's already fused.

Good call on the headunit thing, but I dont have the keys to remove, and its standard H/U, so I still don't know which is ign live, lol

I didn't remove the lining. I used a credit card to push the wire under the lining, worked fine and never came loose.

Like keeping you rigid when she's just not that hot?

Cookson, have you even tried to remove anything? Just give it a go, it's French and will probably fall apart easily enough.
