Fitting a new back box

Hi, to fit a new back box to the car do i need to chop the original off? and weld the new one in? Or can i do it myself, aka without welding? Just how do i fit a back box tbh...

dunno what its like on the ph1 but my ph2 1.6 has the whole system from the cat back as one unit so it would have to be cut off and welded on

Righto, whilst on the subject has anyone got pics of single exhausts cut into a ph1 bumper?

Cut the old 1 off yes but surely the new back box will come with the fitting end slightly flared so tht you can slide it over the center section then clamp it ?

all the exhausts are made in 1 section from the cat to the rear box so theres no way round cutting it
then the new one just clamps on
