Fitting A Stainless Steel Battery Cover

I bought a stainless steel battery cover off of ebay last week for my 182 and it arrived earlier this week.

Has anyone fitted this part before? If so, any tips?

I think the first thing to check is that the underside of it is insulated in some way to avoid shorting over the terminals - obviously depending upon the design of it - sorry if thats a bit obvious! LOL!

The cover isn't insulated. What should I insulate this with?
