Fitting Ferodo DS2500 pads

Fitted them last week, and they were an extremely tight fit, to the point that I had to file the paint off the ends to squeeze them in the calipers!!

Now they seem to be binding!!

Have I dont something wrong, or have I not done something which needs to be done, like remove the slim metal shims that the O.E pads slide on?!

:S

lol, I did think that! Great!!

Why dont they put that on the bloody box!

No worrys, ill sort ASAP!

Are they sposed to squeel, due to the compound of the pad?

they're race pads mate, for race cars and hence don't come with instructions (no pads do anyway)

Shims stayed in on mine, just grinded a tad off the edges, work fine with very little squealing. On last legs now after Combe :(

Actually they do come with instruction on how to bed in, I just thought they might remind ppl to take out shims/sliders!

I know there race pads and I did expect a little squeeling, thats not a problem!!

Love them already, there just binding a little. Will soon sort that though!

The 2500s always need the ends filing down slightly. Worth ensuring the carriers are clear of dirt too. I wouldn't call 2500s race pads either, just a decent fast road setup.
