Fitting front brake discs to a 182

  Racing Blue 182 Cup
Is there a guide for how to replace the front brake discs on a 182? I have found one for pads but not discs. Plenty of people must have done it!

Follow the pad guide. When the pads are off:

Remove the calliper holder from the hub, 2 bolts
Probably best to do this next step before you remove the pads actually - then if needs be you can use the brakes to hold the disc still. Remove the 2 bolts retaining the disc to the hub. They are often seized, a buzz gun should remove them but failing that and other standard methods drill them out. They don't do anything except hold the disc in place while the wheel is off so you don't need them.
Remove disc, hit it from behind while rotating it with a 2lb hammer if it won't budge.
Fit new disc and reverse above.

The small retaining bolts were seized on mine (just changed pads and discs outside in the sleet !). If you can't drill them use a small sharp chisel and angle it so that when struck it is turning the screw.Only took a few blows before they un-did.

The discs and pads are from a local motorpart shop. How did others run these in? I would guess that around 50 miles or so of gentle braking (no m-way miles of course) often should do it.
