Fitting New Badge

Car  Liquid Yellow 182 FF
Hello!

Decided to get rid of the old style halfords 'Renault Sport' badge set and replace it with a nice 'new style' one.

I feel abit stupid asking this but how is the best way to put it on straight, any tips?? :o I take it the old ones just pull off?

*Just noticed I put this in the wrong section.

Just eye it up mate. Unless your name is Jordi you will get it more or less right.

I used a heat gun and an old plastic card to get the badge of. Could use a hairdryer too.

When I helped my mate de side strip his lupo we used a hair dryer and credit/debit/boots/nectar blah blah card. Worked a treat :)

Then he found that dental floss works better

Yeah, going to pinch the gf's hairdryer and I've got myself aload of dental floss anyway, I'll just take my time with it :)

I have changed my rear badge and I used masking tape make a straight line along with a spirit level. Its as straight as it can get. Just remember when you take a look after and if it looks wonky, make sure your number plate is level! I noticed my number plate was about 5mm higher on the right and it made the badge look pissed. But a quick re alignment of the number plate fixed that. Take your time! Its a £38 badge that once its stuck, its there for life lol

I noticed you are only down the road from me, so if you want a hand doing it, pop over mine and I'll do it for you

Thanks guys.

I put a straight line under using masking tape and then used a mini spirit level to get it as straight as possible.

Looks spot on. I remember when I put the 197 badge on my old 182 by sight and I always thought it looked a bit pi**ed lol.

Please excuse the shocking pic, just nabbed it now as its started to piss it down. I will get some decent pics asap.
