Fitting outer cv boot

I need a new outer cv boot

Ive looked in the guide section but can't see one on how to fit a boot

Can anybody tell me all the steps required please?

Wheel off
brakes off
hub off
fitting cone on
lube it up
turn new boot inside out and slide it on over the shaft
turn boot back outside in
squeeze in grease and fit clips
refit hub, brakes and wheel

Do I need to take the lower ball joint out? Or the steering rod?

just unbolt the ball joint (do the 2 x 18mm bolts, not the pinch bolt) and you'll be able to pull the driveshaft out the hub, that way you don't touch the brakes or anything (you will have to put the steering on full lock, right hand down for passsenegr side removal, opposite for the other side)
