Fitting Rims

  Renault clio 172
I own a phase 1 clio 172 exclusive and I’m wanting to get a second set of wheels for the car in order to get the original rims refurbished. I was wondering if it is possible to fit 16 inch rims with the following tyre dimensions- 195/45/16 to my car without having to change anything baring in mind it’s on lower springs and spacers which the previous owner installed.
If anyone can tell me that would be amazing.

Thank you

It’s not that simple, we’d need to know what wheels, different wheels have different offsets.

Fundamentally the size wheel/tyre will fit within the arch, but you’d need offset information to finalise

I’ll be honest this is my first car so when it comes to talking about the technical specs like the offset I don’t really understand what your talking about but what I can tell you is that I have 16mm spacers in the front and then 20mm spacers in the rear and the rims I’m looking at buying are genuine Renault rims from the 182 trophy so I don’t really know what the dementor this would be.

Thank you for your help it’s much appreciated even though I can’t give you the information needed.

Kind regards

If you take the spacers off you'll have no issues at all, except for needing shorter wheel bolts maybe. And then preferring the car on the trophy Turini's and never going back 😂👍.
