All i have to add is you dont need spring compressors nope, but it did help have someone push down a CM whilst I span the retaining nut on a few turns.
Also had some problem getting the suspension strut lining up with the 2 bolt holes on the hub, because i had one side jacked up at a time, the second side (front only) i had no problem when having both front sides jacked up level, so i would say jack up the front on both sides, not one at a time.
And don't forget to not give the top mount nut any hard tightening until both wheels are on the ground and the spring is under compression, as in the air the spring isn't under great tension, and you tighten over hand tight the spring can jump out of place (thats what i experienced).
Good luck mate, rear is piss, front just takes a bit more time but its all fairly straight forward.
