is there a way to manually adjust the xenon headlights? surely there are some ppl out there with non RS clios plus xenons who could help.... :)

To be fully legal you would have to have the auto levelling and headlight washers but there are lots of people who just put the clusters in and use the manual adjustment wheel on the dash. As others have said you can just bolt them on and the lights will function, all the sockets are the same depending on which adjusters you have but if they aren't you just swap over your adjusters.

The legality of aftermarket xenon fitment is a bit of a grey area at the moment. But the department of transport have said they are going to start cracking down on the non legal conversions i.e. no autolevel and washers.

i didnt know that the only way you can adjust the levelling in xenon lights put into a non RS was by the wheel adjuster inside the car?? is this actually the case? dutty_112, could you shed some light? (pardon the pun)

What do you mean?
There are manual adjusters on the back of the unit that you can set the height with to get it to the legal level and then the wheel inside is so you can adjust the height in relation to how the car pitches if you load it up.
This is what the autoleveling does it adjusts the level depending on how the rear beam moves when it travels up and down thus assuming the car is pitching up and down.
People who retrofit them set the height by the adjusters on the back of the units, a 6mm allen bolt i think, and then forget about them really.

as said they are a straight swap. people take the motors out of the 1.2 standard headlight units, and put them onto the xenon units (Straight swap again) when these are plugged in you can then use the adjuster by the steering wheel to adjust the height.

when i fitted mine, i made sure the dash was set to 0, and then i manually adjusted the units (allen key on the adjustor/motor) on a flat surface facing a wall, to the correct level.

ive never had any problems with them, passed MOT fine too. as said, they are cracking down on xenon headlights, but to be honest as they are an actual xenon unit to start with, i.e factory on a 182, they arent that bothered. they are more so bothered about people putting HID/xenon kits into the normal headlight unit, which isnt designed for that type of light.

Get them bought Jonny, you know you want to ;)

when I asked abut getting them for my dci someone on here said they don't need the washer jets if they are fitted "aftermarket"
