Flame spitting monster Clio (Rallyday 2007)

In amongst all the legendary Group B beasts and modern WRC stuff was this insane Clio at Rallyday yesterday, properly quick - and not just Clio-quick, but one of the fastest cars of the day full-stop quick...

2 Litre Turbocharged is all I know, although some mentioned it was a Hona engine. It's called a Renault Clio 4X4.

not taking away that its a beast, but its quite clearly an evo or something

Not exactly sure how these things work, but I assume it's a fibreglass shell on a space-frame chassis or something...? Not really sure but the Clio V6 is very popular in Rallycross so there must be a reason behind it.

Anyhow, looks like a Clio and all the kids were saying "look at the Clio go!" so it's a Clio in my book

there's a mk2 v6 thats in this years rallycross it was at croft a couple of moonths back, its white and its a proper v6 not space framed and that was real quick and sounded immense

Looking at it in the paddock the build quality and finish was shite, was awesome out on track though.

That car belongs to Terry Briggs and runs a Nissan (pulsar) 2 litre turbo.
Not a V6 at all but fast and loud, and that's what's important!!
It features in British Rallycross Supercars and is actually one of the slower cars in that class.
