Fletch 172 and the Banana R26

Fletch and I went for a "leisurely" Sunday drive this afternoon race.

My R26 is Stage 2 so it's significantly faster than Fletchers stripped out 172 .

They are great cars, better than a 172 99% of the time. Only thing I miss about my 172 is being able to chuck it sideways into a roundabout, the Meg grips too much to do that.

Depends, if we're evenly matched I won't go hybrid. I'll just get a set of V3's or AST's instead

Sorry Pete, we didnt actually intend to go for a drive.

I'd been round Fletcher's to fix my bumper. The lower grill had flown out underneath the car while driving again. It's secured with zip ties now LOL

Fletch was going for a drive on the Fletchring and I was heading home. The traffic was bad though on the M3 so I thought f**k it might as well follow Fletch instead

Liquid Yellow is even better

I basically bought mine as it had xenons, lower mileage than others at same price and was two grand cheaper than any other LY for sale at the time. Then I hit the jackpot because it turned out to be RS Tuning Stage 2 with a Forge intercooler which I didn't know when I bought it

haha what a result seems you bought a complete bargain, i say white because i bought my yozzasport exhaust of a guy who now has a white meg r26 with recaros, i think not to clued up on meg sports and it was lovely since then jus be the colour for me

White is nice but I couldn't live with it as I do 20k+ a year so it would always look dirty.

The bumper was already stone chipped and missing most of the black plastics so it didn't bother me.

The injectors aren't fitted yet as it's half a day mapping. Matt at TDF said they would give me an extra 10 to 15 brake


My mods are:

RS Tuning Stage 2
Forge FMIC
Forge boost and induction hoses
Forge recirc valve
Forge actuator
Pipercross filter + foam removed from airbox
Miltek decat
Tarox F2000 grooved discs
Ferodo D2500 pads
Goodridge braided lines

I'd love to do the list, but cant justify it at the moment. Going to get a Stg1 for xmas off the rents though.

I need to something with the exhaust though, its much too quiet after the yozza and even the standard z exhaust.

I was lucky the remap, fmic and hoses were fitted when I bought the car (didn't know about the remap and fmic at first though).

If you want it a bit louder then decat it as it sounds better once done. The trouble with that is fitting is a 3 or 4 hour job so might be hassle at MOT time.

Been hearing about this back box chop, dont know much about it though. Might be too loud, and when i come to sell I want it to be standard.
