Hopefully this works now...
UPDATE:
With the 'Ring trip' looming I popped over to Matt's unit on the Sat to give the car a check over before the trip. Everything was fine, apart from the offside driveshaft's inner boot had split and was very dry, so I ordered a new shaft from Euro Car Parts.
Tuesday evening I popped back over to the unit to have the new driveshaft replaced...cheers Matt and Dave

Unpacked had a few beers/ciders and then piled into Tim's R26 (the only vehicle that has more than 2 seats) to get some food. Pistenklause was packed so we went to a nearby restaurant that did decent pizzas.
Sat Morning.
I woke up at about 6.00am everyone else was fast asleep. I had a walk and went for a nice quiet drive.

VLN race

We watched the VLN race for a couple of hours then all went for a drive and some lunch. Unfortunately, this is when I noticed a knocking noise from the nearside driveshaft when going around tight left-handers not great timing
as I planned on going out on the ring after the VLN race. When we got back to the apartment, we jacked the car up to have a proper look. The CV joint had come off. I don't think the Autobahn helped
Me and Tim went over to RSR where we met Ron Simons (really nice helpful bloke) and purchased some CV grease to repack the boot.
So with the 172 out of action, I went out in Tim's R26. It was great to do a passenger lap around the ring to see first hand how steep and tight some of the corners really are!
Sat evening Pistenklause.
Everyone I know always raves about the place and food, both were great, good red wine too.

Sunday Morning.
Up early again. I popped over to the 'Ring' about 8.30am - it was very quiet and raining. The perfect conditions for my first lap! Apart from a little knocking as I took some tight left-handers, the car performed brilliantly.
After my introductory lap of the ring, I went back to the apartment to meet up with the rest of the guys for some breakfast. We all headed back to the ring once the rain had finished for a couple of laps in the afternoon.

Looking through the go pro footage I was doing Bridge to Gantry in around the 9.30 min mark pretty happy with that. Hopefully sort all the footage out soon.
Door to door I did 1,060 miles and got through just under 30 gallons of V-Power, the car didn't drink a drop of oil and bar the driveshaft/ CV boot it was faultless, good considering she's now on just under 144,000 miles
Hopefully be going back out there again for my Birthday in July.
