Floor Pan, Chassis Weld?

Door Sill.JPG

Question about the Clio II Chassis / floor pan..

On the rear door sill (both sides) there is factory seam or weld, presumably where the boot floor pan joins with the main floor pan (I think). Mine is a 5 door so I don't know if this is the same on a 3 door model.

I noticed that the weld or seam looks like it has a one or two very small bulges where it's joined. I would expect a factory weld to be perfect?

I know the car hasn't had any major repair work done to it. It's got f/s/h, VOSA mot history, very clean & hpi clear.
It's difficult to see on pic that I've included because I used a low resolution camera phone.

Does anyone know if this looks normal? Is there usually a welded seam on the rear door sill on 5 door models?

Better still, can someone with a 5 door post a pic of their rear door sills? Thanks in advance, Steve

It's just the seam where the quarter panel is welded onto the body. Nothing to do with floor pans etc. Wouldn't worry about it unless anything is rusting badly.

Thanks JCC, much appreciated.. fortunately there's no rust etc. Just two tiny bulges & wasn't sure if that was normal. The other side is a perfect seam.

I won't worry about it.. ;)
