Flooring grip

Hi. I’m just about to finish off my track day clio. I’ve stripped the interior out, got a cage and harness etc. But I’m just wondering what I could use on the floor for some grip under foot.

I’ve seen some stuff people use. But have no idea what it’s called. And I can’t find a thread on here about it. Anyone know what it’s called or where I can get it?

Thanks

I use the tape as linked above and cut a few strips, usually needs renewing from time to time with a few new ones but it does the job, I’m still on my first reel of it after owning the car 5 years but perhaps I’m tight with it :)

Have you got any photos of yours?

This is the only thing I can find at the moment that’s got choices in widths. 300mm sounds decent to cover the foot well. But it’s a 5mm length.

I’ve got strips of grip tape in mine. I’ve even painted over it when the car had a respray and it’s still grippy as hell. Great stuff.

Do you have an photos mate? I’m not to bothered on aesthetics but I don’t want it to look totally rubbish either.

You wouldn’t see it in the photos mate. You can’t see it unless you get up really close.

also, if you are fitting it, wait until the summer. Trying to fit it when it’s cold is bloody hard work, it’s too brittle.

I run a workshop and body shop. It’ll be warm enough. Leave the car inside over night. And then put it in the booth for a bit to let it go off. [emoji23]

There’s a video that might show it.

but that’s as good as it gets in terms of pics mate I’m afraid.

Not tried this but may work better as the tape may get damp and lift.
