focus faster then a clio

My mate said that the ford focus ST170 is faster then any Clio, would you say this is correct?

Does any one know if this is true

there is only one version st170 which is 2.0, so get him to swat up on the focus 1st

2nd, his may have 170nhp but its much heavier than the clio range so cant get to 60 as fast

if you do a search on car verdict for the clio 172 and the focus 170 there is a test between the two cars and a few other.sadly the st170 was the slowest out of all of them.it couldnt keepup with a vts never mind a 172.v6 is gonna wipe its ass

the clio mk2 172 is 172 bhp standard, with a 2 litre engine, much lighter, better handling and a much faster 0-60. any anyway - why buy a fo*d when you can get the 172 which is an alround better drivers car.

The 172 is actually about 169BHP, although some have been leaving the factory with less than this figure.
