Focus RS detail :)

I always aim for 100% correction. Obviously, you want the best outcome possible. But I have only ever achieve anything like that on my own Clio. Most cars come to me in such a state that 85-90% is the limit do to RDS/thin paint.

True, It is hard graft. However it's more of a self satisfaction thing. Ive done a couple of car's now charged penut's for it but i get a real buzz from the finished product.
But as i have a full time job it's more of a little extra cash rather than a full on job :)

Good on you. I feel the same "periodically"...

It'll soon wear off! ;)

Depends where you're based - The Artic doesn't bode well for detailing a Frenchy and a German tart ;)

Indeed it does not. Next time a Polar Bear gets in the way i'm going to have a new form of Drying towel!

^ I think it's common knowledge Ali that Detailing isn't as profitable as people make out, they see £300/£500/£1000 and think the guys a millionaire.

I worked out Kelly at KDS' hourly rate on one job and it was somewhere close to £15 per hour for the job, could have been the BMW wet sand one.

A FEW JUST FOR YOU MATE ;) THE BEST LEVEL ON A CORRECTION I EVER GOT ON A V PLATE. 16 HOURS JUST FOR THE EXTERIOR FOR THIS BEAUT

Very nice mate, lot of work needed for the FRP paint. Dave KG spent 3 hours on the bonnet of one alone.

Tell me about it, i had to phone Paul (Miracle) to try and get the best possible explanation as to why it was so hard. If i remember rightly, this was the first time i ever had to drop power gloss in with 3.02 i think and just keep working and working. Compounding was a nightmare yet the finishing was so easy. Cars like these are very rewarding and i would love to do another.

The colour alongside Performance Blue are the 2 most rewarding colours i've detailed. Ford fan or not. :)

Not manage a drive in it? ;)

Unfortunately not, he started it up a few times and i was very impressed. Sounded as good as his fez st500 that he also had with the mountune cams in. Are they quick?

On a 7yr old car 100% is impossible.

Never a fact mate, the FRP i done above was 11 years old and id say it was 100% corrected. It has been garaged most of its life but i guess there are pleanty more examples out there.
